2026-2028 Property Maintenance
Request for Bid Proposals
The Wakefield Parks & Recreation Department is requesting proposals for the grounds maintenance of municipal properties. This contract will be a 3-year contract beginning Jan.1, 2026 and ending Dec.31, 2028.
Properties included are as follows:
- Town of Wakefield Athletic Fields (1488 Wakefield Road)
Fields should be made to look well groomed and maintained at all times. Routine maintenance shall include:
- Mow all ball fields and common areas, once a week or as needed. Including the outside of the Men’s Field fence.
- Plug aeration of fields Spring & Fall
- Fertilize, weed kill & seed Spring & Fall as needed with materials to be supplied by contractor.
- H test annually (with results reported to Wakefield Parks& Rec) & treat as needed. Materials to be supplied by contractor.
- Irrigate as needed
- York rake all infields once a week.
- Remove storm, Fall & Winter debris from area
- Trim edges of all fields, roads, buildings and parking lots once a month or as needed.
- Fill holes and seed bare spots as needed by Nov.1 annually
2) Town properties including Town Hall, Public Safety Building. Municipal Parking Lots, Garvin Building, Turntable Park (inside the Turntable also), Garvin Park, Veteran’s Square, Town Beach, Weeks Beach, Boat Launches, Greater Wakefield Resource Center, Heritage Park, Jette Park, The Hay Scales, tennis court in Forest Hills & Ames Park
All these properties must look well groomed and maintained at all times. Routine maintenance shall include:
- Mow all common areas once a week or as needed
- Plug aeration Spring & Fall
- Fertilize & seed as needed with materials supplied by contractor
- Trim edges of all fields, roads and buildings
- Remove storm, Fall and Winter debris from all areas
- Trim trees and brush as needed around buildings
- Plant, mulch & maintain flowers at town hall and veterans square
Contractors shall provide evidence of list of equipment, liability insurance and worker compensation insurance.
All proposals shall be clearly marked, “Wakefield Property Maintenance” and must be received at: Town of Wakefield c/o Parks & Recreation Dept., 2 High Street Sanbornville N.H 03872 no later than Friday October 17th, 2025 by 4pm.
